Today I tried to give Danielle 1 TBS
rice cereal with 2 oz of milk but she didn’t want to open her mouth! I
had to push it in and I don’t know if she ate any of it but a lot came on her bib.
It’s been more dangerous for us
to leave Danielle on the sofa because she can lean forward into a sitting position but then fall forward onto her stomach
or on the floor. She still wobbles when she sits or will lean forward a
little too far but she’s been practicing.
September 15, 2005
Danielle just came back from her first hotel stay. We went to Pennsylvania
to meet her Great Grandmother on her father's side who said "thank you for having her". Danielle is smiling a lot now,
especially when people smile at her. Her record is sleeping a little over 14 hours, and is still such a content and
quiet baby. She loves to move her arms and legs especially when she is excited like when I come close to her.
She rolled over 3 days ago from her stomach to her back over her left side for the first time! She had rolled over onto
her side before that, but not onto her back. Now in the bouncer she likes to stretch and it's as if she's trying to
roll over. And she likes to stand. We have to help her balance, but she is able to hold all her weight onto her
legs.
Danielle loves to have a "conversation" with Brandon. She babbles to him
and sometimes it's like she's trying to mimic him. She is so lucky to have a brother who loves her so much and wants
to share his toys with her.

Danielle visited a Pediatric Orthopedic doctor today because her Pediatrician heard
a click when moving her legs around. She was concerned about her hips but although this specialist heard the click,
he wasn't concerned. He took an X-ray and it was fine, in fact he said her socket looked great. So we'll come
back in 2 months to check on it.
July 17, 2005
Danielle slept over 12 hours last night! She is sleeping very well, usually
sleeping at least 8 hours, but many days at least 9. She started sucking her thumb 3 days ago! It's so cute to
watch her! Brandon never did and didn't like the pacifier either. She's smiling more and cooing, and
loves to listen mommy practice the piano. She loves falling asleep in the swing, something Brandon didn't use much of
either. It's amazing that she can sleep through loud noises. Many times in the car when Brandon is crying, she's
just happily sleeping. She doesn't like being put on her stomach. She can lift her head 45 degrees, but usually
gets frustrated and starts crying. I don't put her on the stomach as much as I should, but it's usually because I'm
downstairs with Brandon or near him.
June 27, 2005
Danielle had her 2 month check up today which was appropriate for everything to
be in twos! She gained 2 lbs, grew 2 inches, her head grew 2 cms and she got 2 shots! She's consistently all in
the 25% now. She hasn't pooped for 3 days now so she's due for a couple of big ones! She's sleeping wonderfully,
about 8 hours each night! Her record is 9.5 hours! She usually goes to sleep around 9:30pm now, after Brandon
goes to sleep.
