Brandon visited the Seaside Heights Boardwalk and Amusement park with his Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Pam. Daddy and Uncle
won lots of stuffed animals for Brandon! It was very hot but Brandon was such a great boy! Daddy and mommy brought
him into the pool but he did not like it! Maybe the water was too cold!

8/7/03 Brandon started solids today! As recommended for first feedings, we mixed
1 tablespoon of rice cereal with 4 tablespoons of breast milk which I pumped right before. We had the watery mixture
in Bob's old Huckleberry Hound cup and fed him with a spoon. He wanted to drink from the cup instead so every once in
a while we let him but we primarily wanted to get him used to taking and swallowing from the spoon. It seemed to go
well! Brandon's hands and chin were sticky afterwards so he needed a wipe down! We're happy that he seemed
to like it and want more. Although we plan on continuing to breastfeed him for at least a year, we're excited that he
has started his journey eating solid food. Brandon is also vocalizing a lot. It sounds like squealing. He
is sure exercising his vocal cords!
